We recently cut and removed many dead trees throughout the course as a safety precaution. A qualified person set up a plan and went to Monterey County for approval. We cut removed the trees and now are in the process of grinding the stumps, back filling with soil and seeding those areas.

This week we are maintaining, edging, trimming and cleaning in preparation for a busy next week.
Starting Monday afternoon we will aerate the greens with ¼-inch tines and lightly topdress the rest of the week. We’ll also spend time working on tees.

This week we have been busy with NCGA tournaments, so we are in a trim, mow and fine-tune mode.
The course is excellent even with a little rain; the 40,000 lineal feet of drain lines and drain rock added back in 97 -98 has positively paid off and topdressing fairways four times a year has only enhanced that ... read more »

We are busy maintaining the golf course, edgeing, cleaning sprinklers, fertilizing, filling divots, preparing for winter with some small drainage projects, expanding the contours of greens and collars (just with mowing heights ) and generally trimming low-lying branches near paths and greens.

We are looking excellent. Fairways were top-dressed a week ago and now they are smooth and rolling well. We will add some sand to bunkers to help maintain consistency in the next few weeks.

We have made a great recovery from fairway topdressing with sand. The turf has grown through and they are smooth.
