We still have more sand to add to bunkers but for now we have been busy mowing, rolling and trimming the course for some NCGA tournaments.

This week we removed several trees that have been dead for two-to-three years on the right side of the 18th green and fairway. After the removal we grinded the stumps and cleaned the mulch backfill with soil and seed.

We have another week of tournaments - the NCGA SR. Four-Ball is  three days and Thursday we will be use 3/8” solid tines on the greens, rolling, topdressing and of course dragging the sand. Sunday June 6 was by far the nicest day on the golf course we have had in a long time. It was sunny calm and warm but not hot.

This week we’re busy weed-eating along all hazards and other long-grass areas namely around trees.  We will be spraying fertilizer on fairways, spot-spraying for weeds along roughs - mainly daisies, watching for fungus because of our summer fog, and also nematodes.

This week we are working on bunkers, adding and moving sand around where needed. Periodically we have to raise the sand that slides down from the high flashed areas.
