We still have more sand to add to bunkers but for now we have been busy mowing, rolling and trimming the course for some NCGA tournaments.
We use this opportunity to fill extra divots on fairways and tees to keep up with the demand, and also repainting all hazards, cleaning sprinklers that have yardage tags and all other yardage markers on the fairways and tees. We will get together all the great minds of Poppy Hills to discuss a future plan for course renovations and general maintenance upgrade; we have to be proactive so as to have the course at its best for regular players and tournament play as well.

Hello Mr. Sousa,
I am a turfgrass management student at Lake City Community College in FL. I am currently interning at Quail Hollow Country Club in Charlott,NC. I am curious to know if Poppy Hills has an internship program during the summer months? I must do another internship next summer, so i am starting the search early. I have a huge interest in an internship in California, and especially in your area. Any information would be greatly appreciated because I know you must be a very busy man. Thank you and keep up the great work!
