Using the average score over/under par as the criterion, Poppy Hills 5th hole
placed above all other holes on the PGA Tour in scoring average. At .492 strokes over
par, the 426-yard par 4 even finished above holes from 2006 major championship venues Augusta
National and Winged Foot. The tee shot through the trees into the wind, the
approach shot that is generally played from a lie where the ball is below the
golfer's feet and the large green with a small ridge running down the spine all
add up to a stiff challenge for professionals and amateurs alike.
NCGA members can have the same experience as PGA Tour pros for as low as $55,
one of the lower rates of any course on the PGA Tour.
