Ben Alexander

Ben Alexander began his career here in 1987 and has worked his way to becoming one of the premier teaching professionals in Northern California.

He works actively in the NCPGA Section and teaches and attends seminars year-round. He has worked with juniors and golfers of all abilities including 7-time LPGA Tour winner Danielle Ammaccapane.

Being a veteran, Ben works closely with many military golfers from the local Naval Postgraduate School and Defense Language Institute. Ben has also worked with famous clients such as Craig T. Nelson, Dennis Quaid and Harry Connick Jr. Ben has written articles for Golf Digest, PGA Magazine, and Golf Tips. Ben is extremely proud to be a member of the PGA, and he originally became a class “A” member in 1999 after graduating from PGA’s PGM program, then called “GPTP.” His efforts and expertise did not go unnoticed and in 2004 Ben was awarded the NCPGA Teacher of the Year Award. This was quickly followed by Golf Magazine selecting him as the Top Teacher in the region in 2005. He was again nominated for Teacher of the Year in 2008 but this time at the national level.

Ben continues to work with unmatched enthusiasm, perfecting his instructional method, website, and his own golf game bit-by-bit.

Teaching Philosophy: No matter what the level of student I am teaching one thing is certain; it is not my job to tear apart their swing to make them swing the way I do or a professional player does. I firmly believe that building from the strengths and ability of the individual student provides comfort and confidence in shaping their perfect golf swing. My goal is to develop a program for improvement and to maximize an individual’s potential using their given talents.
